Live Local vs Mapquest vs Google mapsHere is a quick side by side map comparison of Bucharest street detail for Microsoft Live Local (left), Mapquest (middle), Google maps (right) - all images 200x200px screenshots at highest zoom (what I see in my browser [FF, 1024x768])...the target is the Creditlink office......this will not be of interest to those people who already have top quality resolution in their area but this is more for (us) second-class world-map populi living in cities such as Bucharest, Romania...Other notes:Microsoft Live Local - super-easy to start (just copy the HTML from an example) and start screwing up the javascript, nowhere near the size of community as there is for Googlemaps, but you can add and share annotations at street level even in Bucuresti. Mapquest - ok street detail but it is a little unobvious how to annotate or bookmark as far I saw before my patience ran out - I have to look at their api again (but they make it so difficult to try it out) - i took this screenshot from the Mapquest website. This 700 character URL comes from an email I sent myself after other attempts at bookmarking failed.Google - still no streets for a capital city of 2 million+ people of a country joining the EU in 4 months - wtf? (and no country level map details at all)...reminds me of the days when Euronews would do their snazzy European world weather zoom and pan, and mention every Eastern European capital EXCEPT Bucharest...Yahoo - maybe there is coverage outside US/Canada? but it was not hinted at on the website so I looked no further...
